For the English portion of project 3, I decided to focus on horror media and how horror has evolved over time. At the start, I focused on Japanese horror culture, but ended up switching off of that topic and only using a few aspects from it. In the end, I used traditional and unorthodox horror inspiration to create a series of Japanese horror haikus. I also received a few from my classmates and graded them.

For the social studies portion of my project 3, I focused again on horror and the psychology behind why we seek fear. I focused on answering the questions of why we fear, why we enjoy being scared, and why horror movies incite fear. My final product ended up being an analysis of some movies scenes and why they incite fear in us.

Art
For the art portion of my project, I decided to focus on the ghost story side of horror. My main focus was to research ghost stories and find out where ghost stories happened in York. Once I found a location where ghost encounters frequently happened, I set out to investigate and find the story behind the location. I ended up going to the Codorus Furnace, which is said to be haunted by the forge master's wife after she killed herself.
